If You Could See Me Now – SPECIAL EDITION
Seemingly casual, If You Could See Me Now sets a chilled-out club dance into one dizzying wave-like motion. Vibes accumulate and electrify and three performers progress continuously. At maximal exertion and sweaty physicality, their movement flow audaciously reinvents itself as luminous impressions. If You Could See Me Now builds towards ecstasy and transforms a precise spontaneity to a hypnotizing experience.
About Arno Schuitemaker
Arno Schuitemaker is a rising star and not without reason. With great acclaim his performances travel across Europe. The magazine tanz and Dance Europe even named him “the most leading contemporary choreographer in The Netherlands”. Using ongoing, perpetual movement, his perception-based works become immersive and transformative encounters that speak about life and the time we live in. Often characterized as interdisciplinary, they transcend dance and push its boundaries.
“Like a power surge, that is what Arno Schuitemaker’s performance feels like. Hypnotizing movements and electronic minimal music. This is about energy, it creates tension, and it makes you hold your breath” (VPRO)
